Kid Inquiry Conference (aka Science Fair)
Our Annual KIC will take place on Monday, April 24th from 10:00-noon at Word of Life Christian Center 8700 Park Meadows Dr Lone Tree 80124
The KIC Concept: The Kids' Inquiry Conference (KIC) grew out of a teachers' interest in finding an alternative to the standard science fair. In place of the competitive model emphasized in the science fair, KIC is patterned after professional science conferences. The main goals of the student conference are to provide children with opportunities to share the excitement of their discoveries with other students, to critically consider the credibility of their own research, and to draw upon the discoveries of other student-scientists. We hope that this concept -- children sharing authentic science in a non-competitive and supportive atmosphere -- will be stretched and modified to suit the needs of many student-scientists.
